On October 20, Wang Wei, a senior nurse practitioner from the Tuina Department, and Lei Bibo, an attending anesthesiologist from the Anesthesiology Department, both members of the 10th Chinese Medical Team to Timor-Leste from our hospital, successfully completed their two-year medical aid mission abroad. José Ramos-Horta, President of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, personally presented them with the Presidential Medal and a Certificate of Honor at the Presidential Palace in recognition of their outstanding contributions to advancing the healthcare development of Timor-Leste.


Since October 2023, Wang Wei and Lei Bibo have actively engaged in clinical work at the National Hospital of Timor-Leste, providing comprehensive medical care to local patients and overseas Chinese in the country. They have also conducted multiple medical outreach programs in remote areas. With their exceptional medical skills and selfless dedication, they have earned high praise from the government, people, and various sectors of Timor-Leste. At the award ceremony, President Ramos-Horta fully acknowledged the professionalism and humanitarian care demonstrated by the Chinese medical team. Wang Wenli, the Chinese Ambassador to Timor-Leste, attended the ceremony and delivered a speech, highly commending the achievements of the medical team.

Currently, the members of the 10th Chinese Medical Team to Timor-Leste from our hospital have returned to China safely. In the future, our hospital will continue to select outstanding medical professionals to participate in international medical aid services, further expanding and deepening international healthcare cooperation to make greater contributions to improving the health and well-being of people around the world.
