Basic information

Oncology Department II, a key construction specialty in Sichuan Province, a member unit of the Specialized Committee of Integrative Medicine Oncology in Sichuan Province, and a standing director unit of the Chengdu Anti Cancer Association, was initially established by the State Council subsidy recipient, the founder of traditional Chinese medicine oncology, and the famous professor He Guangjian of traditional Chinese medicine. It took the lead in carrying out traditional Chinese medicine treatment of tumors in China. The Cancer Specialty was established in 1992, which is the earliest integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine oncology specialty in Sichuan and Southwestern China. At present, it has developed into a tumor treatment center that integrates medical treatment, teaching, and research with integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine. With strong technical force, the department is the largest tumor diagnosis and treatment center in traditional Chinese medicine hospitals in Sichuan and Southwestern China. It has 74 beds, more than 30 medical staff, 4 provincial-level TCM doctors, 4 doctors and 6 master's students. The department has over 30000 outpatient patients annually and over 1000 hospitalized patients annually.

Technology

At present, the main treatment methods carried out by the department include: traditional Chinese medicine treatment, chemotherapy, molecular Targeted therapy, minimally invasive treatment (tumor intervention, radio frequency ablation), and the introduction of extracorporeal high-frequency hyperthermia and millimeter wave immunotherapy in Sichuan Province and the national Chinese medicine system. After many years of scientific research and clinical experience, the department has summarized and established a scientific and standardized integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine tumor treatment system. It uses TCM syndrome differentiation to fight cancer, strengthen the efficacy enhancing and toxicity reducing effect of TCM on radiotherapy and chemotherapy, significantly reduce the side effects of radiotherapy and chemotherapy, and significantly control the side effects of radiotherapy and chemotherapy and Targeted therapy, such as chemotherapy related vomiting, peripheral neuropathy, targeted drug related rash, etc.

We also actively carried out TCM treatment of advantageous diseases, including acupuncture and moxibustion, fumigation and washing with Chinese medicine, application of Chinese medicine, acupoint injection, auricular point sticking, etc. It has achieved remarkable results in lung cancer, breast cancer, head and neck tumors, malignant tumors of the digestive tract, malignant lymphoma, gynecological tumors, soft tissue sarcomas, and palliative treatment of tumors, and has significantly improved the cure rate and quality of life of patients, reaching the advanced level of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine in treating tumors in China.

Scientific Research

We undertook 2 national level scientific research projects, multiple provincial and ministerial level scientific research projects, and more than 10 scientific research projects of the Provincial Health and Family Planning Commission, Education Department, and Provincial Central Management Bureau. Published over 10 Chinese core journals annually. He is the chief editor and co editor of 5 TCM monographs on cancer, and has applied for four patents. At the same time, the department also undertakes the teaching tasks of many courses such as Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine's integrated traditional and western medicine oncology graduate courses, Internal medicine, diagnostics and so on.
