Return of the Third China Medical Team for Cambodia with Honors

On August 9, the third China Medical Team for Cambodia landed at Chengdu Tianfu International Airport. Members from our hospital—Dr. Guo Hang (Attending Physician, Acupuncture Department) and Chen Zhiyou (Charge Nurse, ICU)—returned after completing their national foreign aid mission.

During their one-year mission, Guo and Chen leveraged their integrated Chinese-Western medical expertise to treat thousands of patients from Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, France, and other nations. They delivered comprehensive TCM services including herbal medicine, acupuncture, cupping, auricular therapy, and physiotherapy. Beyond clinical excellence, they conducted public health education, promoted TCM culture, shared China's healthcare stories, and significantly elevated local medical capabilities. For their outstanding contributions, both were awarded Cambodia's Order of Monisaraphon (Moni Saraphon Medal).

Fourth China Medical Team for Cambodia Embarks on New Mission

On August 6, Dr. Zhang Xuemei (Attending Physician, Critical Care Medicine) departed as a member of the fourth China Medical Team for Cambodia. Having completed over two months of pre-deployment training, she commenced her national TCM foreign aid assignment.

Vice Director Chen Qiu expressed profound gratitude to Dr. Zhang and her family for their commitment to China's foreign aid mission. He urged Zhang to "leverage TCM expertise fully, execute medical tasks with utmost dedication, and exemplify the professionalism of Chinese TCM practitioners." Chen emphasized the hospital's commitment to providing comprehensive logistical support and resolving domestic concerns for all dispatched personnel and their families.

The seamless transition from the third to fourth batch demonstrates our hospital's sustained commitment to China's TCM foreign aid endeavors. Successive medical teams have carried forward the distinctive techniques of Sichuan-style TCM while embodying the spirit of Chinese Medical Teams—"Fearlessness, Dedication, Healing and Boundless Love." Through concrete actions, they deepen China-Cambodia friendship, serve local communities, advance TCM globalization, and contribute Sichuan's TCM expertise to building a Global Community of Health for All.
