Recently, the "Taiwan TCM Student-Faculty Exchange Program" hosted by our hospital completed all scheduled activities and concluded successfully.

The six-day program featured faculty and students from the INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION OF TCM AROMATHERAPIST and China Medical University, Taiwan, China. Participants engaged in substantive exchanges across multiple venues including medical institutions, herbal medicine markets, rural communities, and cultural sites.

During their visit to our hospital, the delegation held in-depth discussions on herbal aromatherapy techniques, clinical translation of classical formulas, joint talent cultivation, and TCM education. The group toured specialized departments such as Medical Aesthetics, Endocrinology/Diabetes Center, and the Chinese Pharmacy, gaining detailed insights into characteristic TCM diagnostic models, health management philosophies, and integrated Chinese-Western medicine approaches for chronic diseases. Additionally, our experts delivered academic lectures on enhancing clinical reasoning in TCM, which received enthusiastic responses from Taiwan students.
Subsequent itinerary included:
Field research at Hehuachi herbal market to examine daodi (genuine regional) medicinal materials;
Knowledge exchange on integrated therapies at Sichuan He's Orthopedic Hospital;
Observation of rural revitalization initiatives at Wuxing Village, Baitou Town, Chongzhou;
Immersion in TCM history at Yanhuachi Museum.

Taiwan participants expressed profound gains in understanding integrative Chinese-Western medicine treatment, medicinal authentication, and Sichuan's TCM education system. They voiced hopes for increased future opportunities to study TCM clinical techniques in Sichuan, aiming to benefit more people in Taiwan through enhanced cross-strait healthcare cooperation.
