To implement the content and requirements of the Sichuan-Hong Kong cooperation mechanism outlined by the provincial party committee and government, strengthen exchanges and cooperation between our hospital and the University of Hong Kong, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Baptist University, and Tung Wah Group of Hospitals, and broaden students' international perspectives, our hospital organized the 2025 Winter Program for Hong Kong Exchange from November 3 to 7. Led by Zhang Ya, Member of the Party Standing Committee and Head of the Publicity and United Front Work Department of our hospital, a delegation of 26 faculty and students participated in the event. The delegation included representatives from the Student Affairs Office, the Student Party General Branch, the Internal Medicine Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Teaching Department, and the International Exchange and Cooperation Department (Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Office).
During the visit, the delegation engaged in in-depth exchanges with institutions such as the University of Hong Kong, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Baptist University, Tung Wah Group of Hospitals, the Lok Sin Tong in Kowloon, Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Museum of History, and the Hong Kong Museum of Medical Sciences. These activities not only broadened the participants’ knowledge and perspectives but also deepened their understanding of traditional Chinese medicine in Hong Kong from both medical and humanistic perspectives. This initiative serves as a significant measure by our hospital to empower a new generation of high-quality medical professionals and is a concrete implementation of the Sichuan-Hong Kong cooperation mechanism as directed by the provincial party committee and government. Moving forward, our hospital will continue to provide platforms for exchange and development for students of traditional Chinese medicine, contributing to the dissemination and innovative practice of TCM culture.
