From May 15 to 21 local time, with the support of the Chinese Embassy in Spain, the Chinese Embassy in Portugal, the Chinese Embassy in Greece and the Chinese Consulate General in Barcelona, the “TCM Care” overseas visits jointly organized by Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Sichuan Province and Sichuan Provincial Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine was successfully held in Spain, Portugal and Greece. Lei Qing, Chief Physician of the Dermatology Department of our hospital, and Yang Lijie, Deputy Director of the TCM Preventive Center of our hospital, were invited to join the activity to provide free medical services for overseas Chinese.

The two specialists of our hospital provided professional health consultations and TCM diagnosis and treatment to overseas Chinese and local people. According to the different symptoms of patients, they used healing cream, acupuncture, cupping, ear acupuncture, intradermal needles and other TCM diagnosis and treatment methods. They also explained knowledge on TCM health care in an easy-to-understand form, which was unanimously praised by the overseas Chinese and local residents.

As a province with abundant TCM resources, Sichuan has hosted “TCM Care” activities for many times, and has provided high-quality TCM diagnosis and treatment services for overseas Chinese and local people in Europe, Asia, Africa, and Oceania. The “TCM Care” overseas visits is an important brand of the “Cultural China” project of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council of China. It is another cultural activity launched by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Sichuan Province to benefit overseas Chinese, following the innovation of “Tianfu Cloud Doctor - Telemedicine for Overseas Chinese,” “Panda Bookstore for Overseas Chinese,” “Seeking Roots in China · Tianfu Cloud Classroom for Chinese Education” and other service platforms for overseas Chinese. This time, the “TCM Care” team provided free medical services in Spain, Portugal, and Greece, serving over 700 overseas Chinese and local residents.
