On the morning of March 26, Tian Hong, President of ASIMTC College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Xinglinfu, Italy), visited our hospital for exchange. Accompanied and guided by Wan Peng, Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Department, Tian Hong toured key departments including the outpatient area, Tuina (Chinese therapeutic massage) Department, and the Rehabilitation Center of the Acupuncture Department. She showed particular interest in the hospital’s integrative TCM rehabilitation unit, which combines traditional therapies—such as acupuncture, moxibustion, herbal fumigation, acupotomy, external therapy, and catgut embedding—with modern rehabilitation techniques. Tian Hong highly praised the hospital’s innovative approach to blending classical TCM practices with contemporary medical advancements, emphasizing its value in advancing global integrative medicine development.

During the visit, the delegation also experienced Chuzhen (pestle needle) therapy, a distinctive external TCM treatment recognized as part of China’s national intangible cultural heritage. Through this exchange, Tian Hong expressed hope to establish a collaborative partnership with our hospital, aiming to strengthen the cultivation of TCM professionals and enhance the clinical practice standards of traditional Chinese medicine in Italy.
