Herica is from Brazil and works as a school teacher in East Timor. In mid February, she developed facial paralysis and pain behind her left ear. Accompanied by her family, Herica came to He Lingna（Chief Physician of the Acupuncture Department of our hospital and member of the 9th Chinese medical team sent to assist Timor-Leste). After learning her condition, He Lingna developed a systematic diagnosis and treatment plan for Herica. After about 20 days of treatment, Herica's condition improved greatly, with more than 80 percent of her facial muscle movements returning to normal.
