On November 12, 2024, the 2024 Sichuan International Friendship Cities Cooperation and Development Conference opened in Chengdu. At the conference venue, the “Sichuan Traditional Chinese Medicine” Exhibition was held as part of the event.

"Sichuan Traditional Chinese Medicine" Exhibition was set on the third and fifth floors of the venue.With the theme of "Explore the Hometown and Treasury of TCM," the exhibition was divided into three sections: “Land of Abundance·The Lingering Charm of TCM,” “Historical Evolution of Sichuan Medicine·Acupuncture and Medication,” and “Promotion of TCM Culture·Collaboration with International Medical Community.” By displaying Tianhui Medical Bamboo Slips of the Han Dynasty (replica), lacquer figure marked with meridian-points of the Han Dynasty (replica), acupoint-marked bronze figure of the Northern Song Dynasty (replica), handwritten prescriptions of late famous TCM doctors from Sichuan, genuine medicinal materials produced in Sichuan, TCM preparations, tools of Li Zhongyu’s pestle needle therapy (state-level intangible cultural heritage), TCM greater health products, and other exhibits, the exhibition showed the world the rich resources of traditional Chinese medicine and the innovative achievements of the development of traditional Chinese medicine industry in Sichuan.

During the exhibition, more than 20 kinds of preparations, paste and other products produced by our hospital were well received, and Chinese and overseas guests even queued up to wait for experiencing the pestle needle therapy.

The 2024 Sichuan International Friendship Cities Cooperation and Development Conference was held by the People’s Government of Sichuan Province and organized by the Foreign Affairs Office of Sichuan Province. More than 300 Chinese and overseas guests from 43 friendship cities of 30 countries and regions around the world attended the conference.
