A Letter to the President of USA, Suggesting the integration of traditional Chinese and Western medicine in fighting COVID-19

As of March 30, more than 140000 cases have been reported in the United States, ranking the first around the globe. With an increase of more than 10000 cases daily, the death toll reached 2482.

截止3月30日，美国确诊新冠病人超过14万，遥居全球之首，且每天以过万的速度新增，死亡人数达2482。

Yin Jie, an acupuncturist in the United States sent a letter to President Trump, Vice President Pence, Health Minister Azar and Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Redfield on March 20 by express mail, strongly suggesting that the United States learn from China's experience in combating COVID-1 and introduce the integration of traditional Chinese and Western medicine for COVID-19.

一名在美中医针灸师尹杰于3月20日特快专递发信给美国总统特朗普，副总统彭斯，卫生部长阿扎和疾控中心主任雷德菲尔德，强烈建议美国汲取中国抗疫经验，引入中西医结合法抗击新冠疫情。

Yin Jie said in the letter that the integration of Chinese and Western medicine is the cause of low mortality in China, and the integration has helped China to win the battle against the epidemic. The public has no confidence in the current diagnostic plan in the United States. The Ministry of health and the Centers for Disease Control and prevention should take unprecedented actions as soon as possible to introduce the combination of traditional Chinese medicine and modern medicine, so as to speed up rehabilitation and reduce mortality.

尹杰在信中表示中西医结合治疗是中国死亡率低的原因，中西医结合治疗帮助中国赢得了抗疫的胜利。大众对美国目前的医疗方案没有信心。卫生部和疾控中心必须尽快采取空前的行动，引入中草药与现代医学相结合的中西医结合疗法，以加快康复速度并降低死亡率。

Many oversea Chinese, including our North American Alumni Association, signed the White House petition in support of his suggestion.

我校北美校友等许多民众均签名支持白宫请愿中西医结合救治新冠肺炎病人。
